I've been making these lately out of random pieces of cardboard. I'll cut them down and fold them and use a rubber band to hold some scrap paper I find laying around. It's a nice small little sketch pad with re-fillable paper and they all have little pockets inside. I love carrying mine (the center one) around with me and sketching things when I need to. I gave the top one to my brother and the bottom one to my boyfriend/writer. I'll have to make a tutorial for how to make them one day.
The top and bottom ones have Valkyrion themes but the middle one has my favorite little guy Mr. Faux (pronounced "fox") who I've posted here before but seem to draw little sketches of him everywhere. I'm sure if you look close at the new comic once it comes out you'll see him sneaking in there... The big blue (or red) robot is a Valkyrion called a Striker.
The Second Birth all have stumpy noses, it's purposeful.
Coloring on colored paper is lots of fun, I really enjoy it. Coloring with sharpies is kinda rough but it's good practice to work with such a restrictive medium.
